Untitled Poem inspired by Mary Oliver 2019

Small helpless creature - my brother by chance

Gets swallowed up whole by circumstance.

I grieve and I mourn and I dress all in black.

My tall crowned brother is now at my back.

There's love and there's pain and a guilt ridden glance

When brother kills brother and asks you to dance.
